I just purchased a '98 SN. There is a low frequency base hum at idle. The floor will vibrate when idyling forward. To me, it gets a bit load at mid speed, resembling the low frequency base of a stereo. Any thoughts??

RE: Base rumble in the boat...not the woofer
Thanks Andrew,
I am scheduled for an alignment. However, this morning I noted this frequency pitch when we were not under power but sitting in neutral at idle. I thought shaft movement is stopped while sitting with motor idyling.
Thanks again.

This is what I would think. So, it may simply be the boat. It's something I don't recall when riding in others. I describe it as a base sound that oscillates slightly and causing some vibration in the floor. Maybe I'll get used to it.
