    2018 GS22 Wakemaker Ballast Install

    Hello Planet Nautique

I'm trying to install the wakemakers ballast upgrade on my 2018 GS22. My boat did not have the pro ballast option so wakemakers sent me the hose kit and ballast bags.

So far this has been a nightmare as no fittings or hoses line up. I have read through some of the post, but my kit seems like it is the newer style kit where you don't need to drill the 3" hole in the engine divider rather a 1" hole below the vent hose (port) & above the oil filter (starboard).

Has anyone installed this kit and have any pointers?

Do you have to cut the factory fill/drain & vent/overflow to make the fitting line up?

I have included a few pictures of the fittings and configurations I received I believe they are incorrect.

The instruction (PDF Below) says this should install only take 30min but there is no way that is possible with the set up I received.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i would call them. i had a similar issue when i tried to install their kit on my '19. apparently nautique made some changes for '19, so the kit they sent would not work on my boat. i actually moved to Bend shortly after and Wakemakers used my boat to design the new (at the time) kit. so you probably have a new designed kit that is not actually backwards compatible to the '18.

Thanks Kylant, I got the newer kit. Working with wakemakers to make this kit work with some extra piping.
