Boat on fire , burnt to a crisp

My SANTE 03 ,kept on land on its trailer, was on fire this morning and because it was next to my fuel store, i guess i missed some major explosions
The Fire Dept is starting investigations, and so far, after preliminary inspections thru the completely charred hull , have not come out with any early findings.
Because it is the flagship of my beach club, i guess many of our regular wakeboarders were just as upset as i was.
i wd like to post a pic, but never knew how to, perhaps someone cd give me an email and i can send it to them to post......

I'm not completely sure how it works, but if the boat was out of the water, on the trailer, and possibly "at home", shouldn't it be covered under homeowners? SKISAFE insurance is seasonal due to not using the boat part of the year. It's supposed to be covered under homeowners when its home.

Ski-safe is only 'seasonal' for using the boat, you are still covered while it is being stored during the off-months.

Sorry about your loss, shouldn't this be covered by your business insurance?

Wow. So sorry to see that. My chiropractor's SAN burnt like that at a ramp when the tower caught a low hanging electrical wire that was damaged by wind and sparked the gas tank. Maybe there was an electrical fault/short? Arson?

We all love nautiques , i am quite sure that a boat doesnt just burn up..., and arson has not been ruled out. The Fire Dept will investigate 2mrw onwards.
I hope either way, i can get a boat from the factory asap.

We are all lucky to be able to enjoy ownership of these excellent boats.

I am an insurance agent and a homeowners policy never covers a vehicle. Pay attention homeowners covers homes not cars or boats. If you hit your home with your car, the homeowner policy covers the damage to the home, not your car policy.

Boats over 25HP are excluded from homeower policies, so NEVER expect to be paid for a vehicle, car, boat, etc that is burned up in a home fire.
