    Happy Holidays ?

Just got one of those emails from CC offering a rebate and what struck me was the heading on the e-card. If CC doesn't have the balls to say it due to politcal correctness then I will.
    MERRY CHRISTMAS ! ! !

Anyone offended by my festive greeting is cordially invited to honk on bobo.

    RE: Happy Holidays ?

We say "Happy Jesus' Birthday" at our house. You won't see that at Wally World, Lowe-ensteins, or Homie Depot.

          RE: Happy Holidays ?

How much was the rebate offer? I've purchased 3 nautiques in the last 10 years and have never been offered a rebate. I'm obviously doing something very wrong!!

Wakekat, the rebate was for 2500$ off of any new nautique, as i recall. I checked my recycelable and it got cleaned up already. Maybe its like the cell phone companies, if you're a repeat customer they figure they've got you already.Man i wish i was in the position to buy a new boat with the Canadian dollar at par with the American right now.

And a blessed, Jesus' birthday to you to.

I just finished reading the paper online. Seems there are a couple women in Australia that want Santa to stop saying HO HO HO and start saying HE HE HE. IMO Santa might be calling it like he sees it!!! I think we should HO HO HO and Merry Christmas like I have all the years I have been around.

I'm a little suprised CC wouldn't say "Merry Christmas". they have bible verses quoted in there brouchures, they seem to be openly religious. IMHO

                  anyway Merry Chirtmas everybody!

Ya in the CC factory they have a giant CC sign on the wall with something to do with religion. So they are very open about their religious beliefs.

Maybe they should have included this:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishes.

I think most people in the churches know by now that Christ was born somewhere in the May June timeframe and that Dec. 25 was picked to replace some heathen celebration. Suffice to say that if you were to officially change the date, people would still think they're doing North America a favour by hating christians. I guess the Russian revolution was right, no religion is the answer, look how good communism was for the country.

Don't they have a ski tournament in Dubna Russia ? I think they're allowed to celebrate Christmas there now.
