I would just like to know what it hit. That shaft is bent so bad and I know those can take a ton of force on them.

I wonder if it might have been dropped from a fork lift at a storage place. I see that it has a number on the side. Maybe that's a rack number or something.

What a lousy way to treat a fine boat. At the very least the person or persons responsible should be tied to a chair and forced to listen a Bjork album non-stop for 24 hours, preferably at full volume. :twisted:

This happened a week before I moved!! Lake Mohawk Ohio. I was at the lake that night. This boat was driven full throttle into the ****. The driver was ejected and had to be life flighted. The others on the boat had minor injuries. Boating and Booze!

I have a tough time believing that boat went "full throttle into the dam" as you stated. If that was the case, that boat would be in a lot worse shape, especially on the bow.

looks like that is exactly what happened........... boat ran up onto land at high speed, and driver took out the windshield on his way over the front........

sure wish i had the time to take on a project like that! that would either be a nice boat for a very low price OR a nice profit!

Hopefully nobody was hurt too bad. I hate to see something like this, but the best thing that can come from it is for the rest of us to realize that we are driving something that could injure or kill. Any boat is not a toy. Safety is something ingrained, planned for and appropriate safety equipment aquired for. My family understands this and also understands that friends invited on the boat will be be expected to adhere to the rules.

Please be safe, what ever you do. It is very easy and quick to have bad things happen.

That said, everybody have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Going home to the family.

Well it's obvious the boat was not cared for very well by looking at the vinyl. That is pretty incredible, I believe it could have been run aground at 30+

Possible, but I wouldn't take that bet. What I've noticed here is that a lot of nice boats that have been wrecked sit in salvage yards for months, or even years. Typically uncovered, in the direct sun, in a dirt lot, etc. By the time the insurance
company releases for sale, the interiors are toast. If someone had just thrown a tarp over them, wouldn't have been too bad to fix. BKH

Interior is there the sun deck cover has cracks in the vinyl cover, some of the other seat covers are starting to weather crack.

This happened the last weekend of july. It was going fast, that is why i say full throttle. no one could really know how fast unless they were the driver! The **** is not a 90 degree wall either. This boat was docked not far from mine and was always kept covered. I imagine it was left uncovered in a salvage lot somewhere.

While we're on the subject of salvage .......... I've tried a few times, unsuccessfully, to find a salvage yard online.

Anyone have a link or three ???
