Yep, just waiting to finish the break-in. I didn't have all of it in my 210, but I think I will put it all in this boat. PN members are cool. One created the bars, and another delivered them! Can't beat that.

You going to Cedar Point this year?

I will have to figure out my work schedule and if I'm avaible then I my family will be attending with my neighbors.

Great looking boat Jeff, but I'm biased. I ordered one identical, except with the hull color white (if I'm not at the lake, the wife beaches the boat). Even has the same interior scheme.

Thanks for your input when I was in the ordering stage, glad I paid for the ZR6. What did they recomend for the break-in?

The colors came out really nice. You'll love the boat. The interior colors look even better than I was expecting, so I am very happy.

For break-in, follow the instructions below. Your dealer may tell you something different, but I would recommend sticking with the procedure in the manual. Click the image below for more info.

If you ordered the Team Edition, watch the RPMs. The Team Edition prop allows the ZR6 to really rev, so watch your redline carefully. Don't exceed 5,200 RPMs.

Thanks Mark! I just got home from visiting the boat (at the storage unit, not the lake (unfortunately)). I finally loaded all of our 'stuff' into it. I added about 1,200 pounds of lead, too. This boat has so much storage space... I'm looking forward to the next ride. Hopefully that'll happen Thursday.

Be sure to take some pictures of the wake with the lead in it......I'm anxious to see that! Will that make it a total of 2000lbs?

Factory ballast is rated at 920 pounds, so I guess that brings the total to around 2,100 pounds. Should be quite nice. I'll get some pictures once we get it dialed in.

Where did you get the lead and how are you storing it on your boat? I am thinking about added some to my 210.

I look forward to seeing the wake of that 236 with 2K in it. I'm heading to Kerr Lake on Friday and Saturday this week. When are you making your next trip down?

MAYBE Saturday. We might just go to Lake Anna though. It depends on how long it takes Ford to replace my Excursion's rotors.

A fellow PN member made the lead bricks for me, and another PN member delivered it to me. Can't get a much better deal than that!

My current configuration is 42% under the rear seats, 21% in the ski locker (which is HUGE), and 37% in the bow. We'll see how it does. I'm sure I'll end up moving some of it around.

Are you going to leave the weight in the boat all the time (even when trailering)? I'm just guessing that 1200lbs of lead is a lot of bricks, so difficult to load and unload.

I'm going to try it out and see. The trailer is very sturdy, so I don't expect any issues. We're probably going to start leaving the boat at the lake too, so that'll make leaving it in the boat even less of a problem.

Still have your ski locker with the belly tank huh? On the 210 the tank completely fills that space so no more locker. I was bummed because I planned to throw a tube sack in there.

I may purchase some of these pop bags. I like the idea of easily moving the weight around. Problem is they are costly.

Yeah, the ski locker in the 236 is huge. The tank is in a U shape, and goes around the ski locker. I was so used to it being taken up by the tank (like my old 210) that I forgot about it at first, and positioned the lead in other places. Then I remembered that I could use that space, and moved the lead to the locker.

Spinner racks and bimini

Jeff

I noted you opted for the below tower bimini and spinner racks.

So far, how have you found the "interference" of the open bimini with the racks, when you spin them inboard. I have a dilemma with my soon to be delivered 211 and the same issue, which may result in me going back to the flight clips, as I want to retain the below tower bimini for sun protection.

I find most of the boats i am on with spinners (nautiques, malibus, mastercrafts), we never use the spin option to put on and take off the boards. it takes as much effort to pull the pin or push the button and spin it as it does to just stand up on the edge of the boat. I do like spinning racks though for docking or when you tie up to other boats so you dont have a permanent rack sticking out that catches on the other boat. on my 05 211 i have titan removable racks so i just pop them off to get them out of the way. I didnt like the flight clips.

There is some interference with the bimini and the racks. TowerBiminis asked if I had the spinners when I ordered the bimini, and they modified their instructions so that the spinners would not hit the bimini. Their solution was to lower the rear mount for the bimini so that the racks pass overtop of the bimini. This made the bimini so low in the back that you really had to bend over to get under it. I decided to raise it up to the normal level and just deal with the spinners hitting the bimini. I can still spin them in about half way, and that's far enough to get the boards out easily. One thing that I am considering is moving the spinner racks down below the bimini mounts. I can't decide if it will look funny to have them mounted so low. I'll try it out one of these days and post a picture.
