I know the cove you are talking about by Steele Creek. I wasn't brave enough to head that far with all the chop on the main part of the lake. Hopefully I can catch you next time. Send me a PM before your next trip down to Kerr.

Okay, here are a few pictures from yesterday's trip to Kerr Lake. The wake picture is full factory ballast (nothing extra) at 23 MPH with two adults and a baby onboard. And yes, my son did wear an infant life vest whenever we were underway.

too bad the current 210 cant throw up a stock wake that big. I hear this boat is the best wake/ handling boat in the lineup.

With the rough lake conditions and a baby along, I didn't want to push the boat too much. It handled the chop well, as a boat of this size should.

Hole shot is unreal, especially for a boat of this size. The ZR6 with the Team Edition prop (I forgot to check the size) really makes this boat take off nicely, even with the tanks full. I need to calibrate the gauges before posting a top speed, but I can say that it had no problem reaching 5,000 RPM's quickly. It would have gone higher too, but 5,200 is the maximum recommended RPM for this engine. Part of the break in procedure is to run it to WOT (without exceeding max RPM's). That part was fun!

The boat turns and tracks very well. It doesn't seem to have that chine-lock feeling during tight turns that some people (including me) have experienced with the pre-'07 210.

I was very impressed with the wake with just factory ballast. The picture above doesn't really do it justice. It is too bad we couldn't have gotten a picture with a rider next to it, so that there is something to compare the wake size to. It really is quite nice. The 236 wake is significantly wider than the 210 wake, which makes sense given the boat's extra beam.

I also have to say that the walk-through on this boat is the best design I have ever seen. I always liked the idea of the walk through on the 211/226, but couldn't put that functionality above the interior seating that was lost. The 236 walk through solves that problem. The center piece of the rear seat flips over to become either a part of the walk through, or an additional seating position. The main part of the walk through has a filler pad that folds out so that the rear sundeck can become one complete piece. I really like the thinking behind this boat.

This is also the first Correct Craft since I believe the 2001 210 to offer true wrap-around seating from the factory. The lean backs work better than expected as well. The one on the port side can face either direction, which is nice.

I installed the bimini that I bought through the TowerBiminis.com group buy, and as expected, it is great.

The hydro-gate seems to work well. Obviously this isn't a boat designed for slalom, but it is nice to be able to adjust the wake and the riding attitude of the boat using the sport-shift. Oddly, one setting is labeled slalom. Switching to the slalom setting does drop the bow and decreases the abruptness of the wake.

Perfect Pass seems to work quite well on this boat too. I was a little bit concerned that it might not be able to hold speed as well on a boat of this size. It actually held speed better than on my 210! It is nice to have the new display with the ability to program in names of riders, too.

The Ram-Lin trailer tows better than any trailer I have ever owned. This might be because of the weight of the boat. It is very steady behind my Excursion, and the boat does not move around at all on the trailer.

Not true at all. I have a new 210 and the stock wake is equally as large, if not larger than the posted picture. Having said that, the wake on the 236 looks awesome. Hopefully I can get a set behind that boat when I run into Jeff at Kerr Lake for a true comparison against the 210. Jeff, I'd also like to give you a pull behind my new 210 to see what you think.

Now if you were to sac the 236 with an extra 2K, I'm sure it would blow the 210 away. Most riders (myself included) don't have the skill to utilize such a wake and the stock is more then enough in most cases.

That's correct. It has a magnet sewn into the vinyl that keeps it folded to the underside of the starboard storage compartment lid when not in use. It is pretty slick.

Yep, just waiting to finish the break-in. I didn't have all of it in my 210, but I think I will put it all in this boat. PN members are cool. One created the bars, and another delivered them! Can't beat that.

Great looking boat Jeff, but I'm biased. I ordered one identical, except with the hull color white (if I'm not at the lake, the wife beaches the boat). Even has the same interior scheme.

Thanks for your input when I was in the ordering stage, glad I paid for the ZR6. What did they recomend for the break-in?
