After have three of the guages apart and repairing all three successfully thanks to TechBeer's youtube video, I will say that swapping the face of these guages is probably not feasible as it is attached to the board you're repairing. I'm guessing you would damage it taking it apart.

The small gauges are pretty modular. So if for some reason you wanted to use the circuit board with a different face/lens I believe this will work. guygaskell is likely referring to the 2 larger gauges which are somewhat different. Those have the circuit board connected to the dial face by the LCD screen. Yes, very difficult to get completely apart. I do not recommend it unless you must replace the stepper motor. But I think you could still take the entire guts and put it into a different housing. You would have to desolder the speaker/buzzer but not a big deal.
Also, the bezel design is slightly different on the newer gauges. There are decorative "indents" on these gauges vs. the smooth bezels on the old ones. So these are visually NOT interchangable. I do believe the lenses are all the same though.
