    2011 Nautique 210~ Buyers Guide

    Hello,

I have the opportunity to purchase a 400 hr 2011 210 down in Austin TX area and this will be my first boat.
Want to get into surfing as we have recently acquired a home on LBJ.

What are some things to look for for this year when buying?
How well will this boat actually surf with stock ballasts? (No NSS)

My neighbor also is offering a 2018 Moomba Helix with 300 hours for about 5-7k more. Am I missing out on some more modern surf/ boat tech by not considering this Moomba just because of the brand? I heard they look goofy but surf fantastic... Looking for some honest opinions here!

Well I looked at the boat last weekend and the interior is spotless for its age. No tears or rips anywhere, its an all white non team edition version with the brown and white seats. Pretty cool color combo. Some small cosmetic chips on the platform and a missing badge or two but that's all I could find.

I went forward with the deposit and plan to take it for a test drive this week hopefully. How much factory ballasts will I have to add to get the full potential out of this boat? I have heard people add ballast bags next to the rear tanks. Is this better than removing the OEM hard tanks? Am I missing anything by not having a "team edition" boat?
