    Paragon Tower Recall

I just talked to my dealer who told me that Roswell will need to replace the top portion of my tower. They won’t need to “de-rig” or remove the tower from the boat, but just replace the top portion. I’m told that they’ve had some welds crack on early towers. My boat is #076. Who else has been told they are in the same “boat”? (Sorry, I had to...)

We just had the top portion of our Paragon tower replaced Because it had started to crack! it only took them a day to do it, but our Boat was there for 3 days.
Wasn't to big of a deal and now the top portion of the tower is Brand New!

This means there are a lot of boats with this issue, given yours is a ‘21...

Is your new frame made of steel? I heard it might be made of a lighter weight material.

Where are the cracks forming? (any pics?) Mine won't be produced till next month so I doubt I'll have a problem but will want to know what to keep an eye out for.

Yeah, apparently Rosewell hired a couple welders During corona that Didn't do a good enough job on the Welds and they started to crack.
Ours was one the first 2021 Paragons to be shipped out and we took delivery of it in august. I bet they had to recall a lot of towers!

Maybe they should have added an inspector too? Its shameful to have subpar people working on a 300k boat?

While I don't disagree, keep in mind Roswell isn't selling $300k boats, they are selling towers to the company who makes the boat likely for less than $10k each tower... That does not dismiss the fact it shouldn't have failed, but as long as Nautique is doing a recall to make it right in the end, I see no reason to be upset about it.

Where are the Paragon G25 owners? This must be the same for both. Same tower? Who’s had this replaced?

All of the Paragons at my marina are under the recall. There were 4 p23s. One sold the 23 to get the p25. The 25 might be a 2021 and haven't spoke to the owner but i don't believe it was affected.

Did any of these have gel coat issues under the tower? We were wondering if the tower had maybe put additional stress on the hull or if I’m just unlucky. I’m going with coincidence at this point but curios.
