I would fire all my contact info over to him to give to his lawyer! He is trying to screw you over because he didn’t get what he wanted for the boat. There weren’t any separate listing for items on that ad. It’s yours!

Be interested to see how far you want to take this one. After looking through this thread I looked at the listing again, and definitely nothing about platform only. This person knows they messed up and trying to threaten you to get out of it.

Nice. As fun as this has been to watch, the seller is right. The boat is going to fall under eBay motors and that makes the bid non-binding. He should definitely get a negative on his profile for it though.

I already gave him negative feedback. I'm just surprised that he hasn't cancelled the sale, and refunded my money. That's simple to do. I can't even start a case with eBay to get my money back until the 4th due to the fact that eBay thinks its going to be shipped, and until the estimated arrival date has past, they won't get involved.

Yeah...sadly I think he's going to walk on this one as there's no escrow like function to force the transfer. Maybe ebay will slap his account and he'll just setup a new one. If it lists again, we should all bid it up to a gazillion $$ and then stiff the guy. Sort of a reverse play. It's only fair.Last edited by SilentSeven; 12-01-2020, 08:44 PM.2004 206 Air Nautique Limited - Black with Vapor Blue (family style)

I talked to eBay, and they said since it was not listed as a vehicle, and in the parts section, it is actually a binding bid, but they said I would have to get a lawyer involved to really pursue anything further. They are looking into his account, and alluded to terminating it, but that's about all they can do. They also said i do have to wait till the 4th and they will refund my money.
