Ordering a g21 with surf select and am also getting the fenix 6 during xmas. Does anyone have experience with the system, and whats you’re feedback? What size watch do you have, are the buttons easy to press with wet fingers, etc.

I have the Fenix 6 pro solar which works well with the boat. Buttons are very easy to use while behind the boat. My only complaint is it will only move the speed +- 1mph. There are times wakeboarding that drop the speed a little more to try a new trick. I used it a lot in the beginning to play around with the surf wave to figure out what I liked. Once I got ever hung dialed in I barely use it behind the boat but I love the watch anyway. I use it for my main Garmin while mountain biking now. It’s just so easy when it’s always on. It also tracks my Snowbaord runs as well. Not needed but fun to see speeds etc. the batter lasts forever compared to a Apple Watch.

Thanks for the input! I was wondering how the solar did with battery levels and charging frequency. Do you wear the the watch everyday? Good to hear buttons and everything work well. No connectivity issues being that far behind the boat?

The charge seems to last 7-10 days. Connection comes and goes as you go under water. At 65’ it works most of the time. I had one day it wouldn’t connect but otherwise it’s worked everytime I needed it for the last 180 hours of boating

I have the 6 pro sapphire and like it. Works well with our 20 G23. I mainly use it surfing to control music and sometimes speed depending on what I’m trying to do or what board I’m riding. Range is limited behind the boat as expected but surfing it works fine. Haven’t tried it wakeboarding
