    Taz,

    1. Get an old short surfboard or new hyperlite Landlock or equiv.
    2. Load up the boat on one side with bodies, water, ballast or lead
    3. Get up on the board right just behind the boat and try to surf the wave

If you can wakeskate you can surf once you get the wake figured out

P2B CC - I think it is time Dad get's to ride - maybe Laborday weekend.

Here's a pic of the starting position - only with 2 people - still looks the same with just one. When you stat the board becomes a wall between you and the back of the boat. As uyou get up poin the board nose away from the boat until it is parellel with the boat. The board and boat will stand you straight up. Stay in the hole (below the wake) to start - you can do this by starting off to the side of the boat.

also P2B - you mentioned something about your daughter learning to knee board. How about this picture - maybe she can learn to kneeboard on a surfboard and then graduate to surfin. The surf board has more surface area to plain out with and no starps to mess with - i bet she'll love it!

here a pic from this weekend... we were out with a new wake surf designer (aka stripes)... very nice boards...

we got the wake to barrel(back 1/3) and with the right people placement the wake was about 3.5 '

Wow - amazing wake. Was that wake produced from your initial right hand turn at startup or is that the normal straight line surf wake?

Did you take the pic from the swim platform? Nice pic...

driving straight as possible.. it has a really nice pull so can fall pretty far behind and still come back..

the photographer was a little over the sun pad...

THAT'S WHAT I'm TALKIN' ABOUT!!!!! I might actually wake surf instead of thinking about the old days with a wake like that. What is the weight distribution and speed? Since I'm a regular foot how's it on the other side?

the 2 extra fatsacs really helped out (the 150 in the bow and the 270 where the jump seat is).

we are running the following -

                        - 8 bags pop products lead along the side of the hull in the rear strarboard locker
                        - 4 bags in the center starboard locker (simulate a person sitting on the pad) i
                        - 4 bags along side the driver area
                        - 1 270 lb flyhigh sac as far back in the rear locker
                        - 1 270 lb flyhigh sack where the rear jump seat is (slide the seat forward)
                        - 1 150 lb flyhigh fat brick in the bow on the side are riding
                        - factory starboard ballast (250 lbs)
                        - 2 peeps for ballast and driver

total estimated ballst weight of 1500 lbs
                        - shifter set on 2 1/4
                        - pp set 3000 rpm about 10-10.3 mph
                        - prop acme 644

set up for starboard is the same... the wake is "almost" the same but requires peeps to hang over the side and one in the transom...

Clubmyke, INSANE WAKE! Thanks for the detailed weight set-up! So, what do you do with all of that weight when you decide to wakeboard? Do you dump it or do you re-arrange it? I would love an updated weighting layout for wakeboarding, I heard your wakeboarding wake is also sick!

                                thanks..

for wakeboarding - we dump the fat sacs and redistribute the lead and run the belly only 1/2 full per mikeski....

granted it isnt like a loaded 210 but still very, very good considering we get a world class wakeboarding wake with only 1200 lbs. total ballast..we keep the number of peeps to 3-4 total including driver so we can ride (we'll go 5 if we have to).

the goal is to lose 4-6 bags of lead and get the same results..
