2000 SAN ballast, dividers, actuator, Oh-my...

So I've taken out the factory ballast tanks and am exploring options for a new/improved setup. Tons of good info on this site, but I'm wondering about some conflicts in the rear . Specifically, at some point one of the previous owners had replaced the hatch actuator, and I don't love where it was located. It sits even further starboard than the original and it's getting into the turf I'd like to use for a bag. The boat was missing starboard dividers, so I put some together (with reinforcing) and am getting ready to install and here's the crux of my issue... Would it be foolish to relocate the actuator towards the engine as far as possible (even mounting over the reinforcing angle) and then installing my dividers outside of that so as to remove the actuator entirely from where I plan to put a bag? This seems extremely doable, but figured I'd inquire here before I do anything stupid...

Attached photos for reference (and yes, I've done some vacuuming since taking these photos)...
