After 4 pre-owned boats over 20 years, I broke down and ordered my first new boat. Agonizing over every option, but we settled on a configuration we're generally comfortable with. The most difficult part by far was working with the limitations of the color schemes - both the somewhat strange geometric shapes, and the restrictions on placement. Add in the concern about "aging gracefully" and we ended up much farther on the conservative end of the spectrum than I would have originally imagined. Renderings enclosed. Still have angst about it, but hope when it arrives I'm relieved... The forum was a great help in considering various tradeoffs.

aargh. We looked at 50 permutations and argued mightily as a family. Grey seadek looks super flat. Our current boat is grey and it's fine - but I think the mocha offers a bit more contrast. I wish we could get the sahara sand offered in the Paragon and have a question into the factory if that's possible. Appreciate your engagement and commentary!

I don't want to further jack-up your thought process, but you might also think about the amount of wear and contact the platform gets-versus the rest of the boat... when considering black... Now, having said all of this, let's consider the disfunction of the individual bringing this to your attention... The only way I'd own a black car would be to PPF the entire vehicle-to avoid dealing inevitable swirl marks in the clear.Originally posted by pitts12driver View Postyou know - you're right. We just changed the platform to black. It's more coherent with the hull
You wouldn't necessarily deal with swirl marks on the 'glass, but black is pretty high maintenance-and you seem to be in it "for the long haul" with this boat...
Just saying'...( from a very anal-retentive person...)

We were huge Spurs fans until Pop wouldn't keep politics out of it... (Canyon, McQueeny, where?)Originally posted by Kenv View PostYeah...I thought it might look cool sweeping up from the hull bottom....I'm still messing with my colors for mine....getting my kids input on this one....LOL Being from San Antonio...I love the SA Spurs colors you've picked. Like the grey tower.Last edited by RDT-G23; 07-14-2020, 03:29 PM.

Mostly Medina....Canyon once in a blue moon. Spent a lot of time on McQueeny/LBJ back in the day. As far as the Spurs...yeah Pop may be considered a great coach...with the 5 rings and all....but I think he's an absolute Azzhole the way he treats the reporter's questions. And now that he's decided that he's the "mouth from the South" as far as politics...yeah...it's just time for him to leave the Spurs. I've always been a fan....still am....but like a BUNCH of folks....just tired of Pop and his antics lately. Also...I hear you about the black platform....and I will probably NEVER own a black car....I'm just not a black boat or car guy....but I may go black platform myself....just based on the color combo i'm looking at for my G23.Originally posted by RDT-G23 View Post

Your boat looks great. Our second choice color was steel blue. Went back and forth endlessly. On seadek - out current boat has grey and it feels a touch flat. I worry since our new boat has a grey interior it would feel pretty dead. I've reached out to the factory to see if we can use the lighter tan "sahara sand" seadek they offer in the paragon. Or the charcoal. Will let you know if they say yes.

Yeah...with the racks...for me...just personal preference on the looks and size. I don't like the HUGE clamping racks...and don't really have an issue with the bungee ones...as I have them on my 15 G21 also. I just like the cleaner look of the smaller racks.

Unfortunately, I think they are keeping those Sea Dek colors exclusive to the Paragon; it is a part of the separation they are after, I suppose. I have the dark grey, and it is awesome!Originally posted by pitts12driver View PostYour boat looks great. Our second choice color was steel blue. Went back and forth endlessly.
