    2018 GS22 ProBallast or Lead

Thinking if having ProBallast added. Anyone know if it’s worth it. Was just going to get lead. Problem with that is I would have to take it all out and move to now after every use. Leaving it would be too much weight for my lift.

I had 2 400lb. bags in the transom and 400lb of lead in the cockpit, I highly recommend it. I had to pump the bags in the back full/empty each time which was kind of annoying, so if it was an option in '18 I would have upgraded to it.

i have a set of pro ballast bags out of my '19 that i would let go.
i have the new wakemakers 800# bags.
lead is a PITA. i would only leave a small amount in, but if you have a lift, that might not be a good idea.
if you ski, lead is really a PITA

If you would have to move the lead after each use, that would be a hard NO from me. The benefits of lead are that you don’t loose storage in the back lockers. But poster above is right, lead is bad for skiing. I don’t ski and my hoist can handle the lead so I have pro ballast and lead as well.

Yah. Gotta do ballast, storage isn’t the biggest issue as we are docked.
Anyone have know what good dealer quote for install would be?

Anyone have an idea what a good price for dealer to install the pro ballast?
