Wa -> AZ roadtrip. Must hit spots?

My wife and i are planning a road trip down to Tucson, Az from Washington with the boat. We are going at the end of April and have approximately 10 days, 3 at minimum will be busy in Tucson. Planning on a fairly minimalist trip and to sleep in the truck or camp along the way.

Can you guys suggest west coast routes / spots to hit?
Must see waterways or terrain?
Tips for boating in other states?



Also tips on how to upload photos not rotated?!? I tried rotating it before uploading but it only likes it like this!

The water is still chilly in April, but if you have a chance to go to Lake Powell, you would be foolish to pass it up. Just think of the grand canyon, but full of water.

We are heading to Lake Havasu 10 days for a trip like that is going to be tight!!

Hoover Dam at Lake Meade. Have a buddy that was just there when it snowed and he said it was one of the coolest places he’s ever been. Granted we know a federal game warden down there so he got the full tour inside the dam...but he said the hiking around that area was awesome!
