How well does the seat heater work?

I'm interested in adding the seat heater for the driver's seat on my G21. How well do they work?

I use them in my 18 G23 all the time, perfect for cooler temps, well worth the money IMO.

Hindsight I wish I had purchased a heated seat option on my 2017 G23 rather than the heater

In my opinion they are a must have option if you use your boat below 70 degrees. They get pleanty warm especially when we get in the boat after surfing in 55 degree water.

Instant heat and works well. Boat seat heats way faster then any of my vehicles with it ever have. Passenger heat works just as well and kids love it!

Is this something that can be reasonably added after-the-fact? Seems like someone here looked into retrofitting a seat heater a few years ago and found it cost prohibitive.

I always thought adding it after the fact was difficult and a little time consuming, but it for sure can be done. I had seat heaters and loved them. If I only had to pick one, I would pick the air heater, the hoses can be stretched to any location. The seat heaters can only heat the driver and passenger seat. FYI, Malibu does not offer a passenger seat heater.

Just another idea I thought I’d throw out there. On amazon you can buy a 12v heated blanket for super cheap. Haven’t tried it yet but definitely ordering a couple for spring.

Funny I have the hose heater but would rather have ordered the heated seat instead

We use all of our heaters in our G. We are in the NW so it may depend on your situational weather conditions.

There was a guy on TT that did it. The seat skins have to come off (of course), then the wires need to be run. He left the wires exposed, since it was too much of a pain to get them under the seat, and fished under the footwell. All in all, it sounded like PITA.
