Accuski vs. Perfect Pass

I don't hear much about Accuski anymore and their website is down for construction. There is an Accuski system on Ebay (http://tinyurl.com/nkftq) at the risk of running up the price. I am thinking about finally getting a cruise system. Does anyone have thoughts on the state of Accuski? My impression is that Perfect Pass seems to be the standard. Thanks

If I am not mistaken, Accuski has been out of business for a few years. I would try to locate a used perfectpass as the company is still around to support you.

I've skied behind both PP and Accuski. I can't tell you specifically which releases/versions they were but Accuski seems to have a more forgiving pull. PP can be brutal unless set up properly and even then it doesn't quite have the Accuski touch. It is all moot if Accuski is no longer in business. PP has done a great job on marketing, and I must say their customer service is excellent.

you must have been talking about your post. cause accuski wouldnt hold spped in an unweighted boat. at wakeboard speed add weight and your kidding yourself. oh and they also had excelent customer service. i sent guy atleast 10 emails with not even one reply. and there was another dude there i sent a bunch of emails to. so your right they must have been great thats why there still around. good ridance

We had 5 boats in our club with Accuski. All worked flawlessly. Did you ever try to call Jack or Guy? Not everyone checks email - especially 5-7 years ago.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but just to say that something is crap without an explanation does not help anyone. You obviously had a bad experience, but I know lots of people that were VERY happy with Accuski. Most people that I have talked to, that had both PP and Accuski, preferred the pull of Accuski - including one above.

P.S.
I know Jack pretty well. So, I can tell you first hand that the main reason Accuski is gone is that PP was very good at politics.

I am not bashing PP in anyway. I have had PP in my last two boats ('99 and '03 SN).
