Bungee Ball Wakesurf/Wakeboard Rope Holder - Stern Locker Bins

I was thinking about using these bungee balls on my side plastic engine dividers in my G23 to hold 2 ropes per side in the stern lockers. There was a thread on this already and I know how I want to install them by drilling holes into my plastic dividers to hang my ropes. My main concerned and I want any feedback from folks who have done this installation already to see if they have had any issues or damage to ropes because the plastic dividers got too hot from the engine thus damaging the ropes and/or rope handles. I never plan to do any type of piggyback ballast bags in my stern lockers so that should not be a concern of mine for fear of interference. Bottom line I want to get the messy ropes out of my crew storage bins.

Have you considered these rv door latch brackets or similar? Maybe on the small side but should work well if you use rope ties. Just a thought for a clean look.

Not familar with these but they could be an option as well. I guess I could install so the "claw mouth" is facing upward in the stern locker then jam the wakesurf rope in the mouth to hold it in place against the engine compartment dividers?

Yes that's exactly how I'd use them is install upside down and the claw will retract at least automatically when not using. Could even use for vests to keep them dry between sets as those plastic divider are just warm enough they aid in drying of items.
Had similar brand on my last rv and they held heavy doors pretty well even in windy conditions. For $10 they would be worth a shot!

I have mine hanging on small stainless hooks. No damage to ropes. If it doesn’t get hot enough to damage the plastic divider I can’t see it getting hot enough to damage a rope.

Am I the only one with too much crap in my rear storage hatches that I couldn't ever actually hang anything from those hooks? On one side I have tubes, and the other side is all life vests and surf boards, and the rope could attach to the hook already there, but would then lay on top of all of the other stuff and be in the way more than anything. I may have more room than I think, but when these threads come up, I only see it useful if the rear hatch is nearly empty.

Yeah my rear storage lockers are pretty much empty and as you stated the G has hanging hooks in the real lockers but using these hooks for ropes causes the ropes to sway back and forth becoming loose; these hooks are less than the ideal set up for rope management. I want to install some spring loaded and/or bungee hooks much lower than the standard G real locker rope hooks to keep the ropes in place and manageable
