Gonna be a great summer!

Well I decided to take the plunge and order my first boat! I waited a long time to have my own (always used friends’ boats up until now) and I appreciate all of the advice and thoughtful comments on here. It made my decision much easier! I figured since I’ve waited this long I might as well get the best out there.

I’m sure I’ll be coming back frequently for tips and to share my experience to help others in the same way I was helped.

Love your color choices! I too just bought my first "new" Nautique. I grew up skiing behind "Correct Crafts" back in the 70's and 80's. Bought an old 78, then 5 years ago bought a used SN 206. Have been considering the 200, then GS boats last year and finally pulled the trigger on a GS22. My build was delivered last week - my dealer sent me a pic of it just off the truck in its wrapper - I was able to run by the dealer and met my sales guy so we could both "un wrap" it. Awesome that I was there to do that. Two days later he called and said it would be fully rigged and the mechanic would be taking it out for a water test and if i wanted to join him I could - again, I ran by, watched the final assembly and joined him on the water test! I highly recommend it if you can work it out. My wife and I are surprising our kids this week-end as we are going by the dealer to "pick up our SN 206" but they are going to hook up the GS22 while I distract my boys and to their surprise ....

Hehe thanks for the tips, I think I’ll try to do what you said- sounds fun! And thanks for the props on colors- that was the hardest part to decide. Once my wife gave this set up her blessing I had to stop and call it the winner!

I couldn’t agree more about summer...might just have to get a wetsuit and brave the spring water with how little snow we’ve gotten in CA. I have done zero snowboarding this season so I’m all in on summer now.

Thank you, it was a long process to figure out. Summer will be here before we know it!

Hehe thanks, I know a lot of people prefer the non decal look. I have this a lot of thought and after looking at it both ways, I just felt that it broke up the white just enough to accomplish an appealing overall look. That said, my dealer agreed with you and said it would look awesome without them. I’ll have him peel my $300 stickers off if they just don’t look right IRL...pics soon!
