This is Lake Santa Fe in Melrose Florida. Driving around the lake I saw water in people's yards up to their houses. I'm sure there is contamination from septic tanks but luckily the lake is spring fed. Could be a while before the water goes down.

The storm was not a big rain maker. Where did all the water come from?

        • close enough to the lake to be able to run in and grab a beer, but far enough not to pay the taxes!!

yeah - they need to close ramps to Butler Chain of lakes (Windermere) as there are still sunk boats and busted docks (wood & nails, metal roofs) in the water. People are out wakesurfing and tubbing and cause more damage to docks and sea walls

In early spring there was a drought here then record amounts in June and July. Water levels were already high then the hurricane. Destroyed a lot of docks and boat houses. Suwanee river also flooded. Water is slowly going down but I think our season is over.

Hey Shag. What lake do you use and did it flood? The only good thing about not being able to go to the lake is I get to take care of my project car that I've been ignoring all summer.
