We were in such a hurry to finish the paperwork and complete the 5 hour drive home that I only got one pic as the boat was being prepped. It was well after dark when the boat was put back into dry storage. Unfortunately, my first chance to enjoy it will be 4th of July. More pics then.Originally posted by Guntersville230 View PostPost a pic of the boat!

Saw this one on Buxton's FB page yesterday, VERY nice color combo! Enjoy, and if you ever decide to sell/trade this will be a very desirable boat (IMO). ENJOY!!!!!!!Originally posted by Scott89 View Post

Lake Ouachita (pronounced Wash-it-aw) is the headwaters of Lake Hamilton on which the city of Hot Springs is located. My family's lake house is on Lake Hamilton. The dry storage facility where the old and new boat is kept is almost precisely halfway between the family lakehouse and the interstate bypass that goes to Lake Ouachita for the specific purpose of allowing us to head to Ouachita whenever we wanted. Ouachita is a Corp lake so it's pristine, with no real structures on the lake. It's very deep. The average depth I believe is around 100 feet, exceeding 200 feet in places. You can be 25 feet from the shore and the water will be 75 feet deep. The depth also means the water stays cooler well into August when Lake Hamilton will feel like bath water. It's also one of the largest lakes in Arkansas so it's not very busy and therefore safer. Yeah, I've been on Ouachita a time or two. ;-)Originally posted by Neverenough View PostNice!! Ever hit quachita? That's one of my favorites
By the way, if you haven't found the little diner at Shangri La on Lake Ouachita, you're really missing out. Call ahead and tell them to reserve you a slice of homemade pie which they make fresh every day (and that they sell out of every day). I recommend the coconut cream pie.
