Nice!!!! But it still looks like the board racks are sub-par....that wide of forks and holding a wakeboard snug in rough water seems pretty impossible IMHO

Bit of a disappointment Nautique... While the screen size being larger is a nice plus it looks like they gave up the storage pocket on the dash in favor of a phone pocket. I love that storage and have always complained it needed to be on the G21 as well! The only tower design I think needed to happen was provisions for more board racks and that wasn't made! 2 surf pockets in the bimini is a help, but not if you have more than 4 wakeboards! While the stereos are getting better with the addition of JL Audio they still are lacking on in-boat speakers staying with 6.5". They need to move to the 7.7" like most other high-end boats are with competing manufacturers. Nautique needs to step up!

I like most of the upgrades but IMO the surf graphics manufacturers are putting on their boats are so cheesy. Clean and simple is the way to go. I like the 2016s and the way BU does theirs.

I didn't realize that - so I guess the screen got bigger, more intuitive and lost the chrome frame. I have 2014 SAN 230, touch screen would be nice...

Yeah I'm not too impressed with many of these new options...I like the '16 models better. I do like the surf pockets (even though I can get them added for about $100 at my local upholstery shop), but still, an option for clamping board racks would be nice. Oh and I do realize now why Nautique doesn't have them...because they don't work well with surf style boards. I would like the option though because I only put my wakeboards in the tower racks. They also wont add the vertical style surf racks for clearance reasons since they don't spin. I've heard some people with Mastercrafts had to remove theirs to get in between the cables on their boat lift. Touch screen isn't new. I do also like the camera view, even though I prob wouldn't use it much. I really do like the 12" subs and the ambient lights on the tower speakers though.

And I really DON'T like the the layout of the dash. The cell holder is a cool idea, however, I would forget and leave my phone in there if a big storm came and we ran into the marina or dock for shelter or something and it would get ruined...along with whatever else is on the open dash. I love my drivers glovebox.

Your phone is gonna fry in that holder. It has to be out of the sun, in the dash

Still kept the Polk UM1...... Should have been the first thing ditched for '17.

i like the bigger screen, and the leather wheel. I did my own surf sleeves on my 2016, ran the USB to drivers glove box, and ptm clamping racks. No reason I can see, that would make me upgrade. I especially don't like the loss of the driver glove box.

Open letter to nautique for 2018MY....
                          -bring back glove box
                          -add factory clamping racks
-swap the Polk pos for the new JL head unit or a fusion 750.
-add a helm remote but keep screen functionality for stereo.
-STAY COOL VINYL! The vinyl in my G is my biggest complaint coming from an MC. MC vinyl is miles better. It's much more durable, it stays cool, and it breathes. Also doesn't stain as easy.
                          -rear cupholders

                          poof, perfect boat.

I am not a fan of boat manufacturers writing "surf" on the side of the boat... Seems like that is given. Or if you don't have it then you can't surf? Probably just my pet peeve...
