    Fuel Water Seperator issues

I swapped out my fuel water separator on my 82 SN. The old one was a pain and i read to update it with a twist off. Any how i got the new one mounted and installed, I even primed the filter before installing it. I also would like to add I recently added a new fuel pump. The issue is now I have zero fuel when I crank the engine. Any ideas on priming that line from the fuel tank? Anyone used a prime ball to get the flow going? Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Pour a little gas down the carb, repeat as necessary until it stays running. Was there a running issue before you changed the water filter??

Iv always had luck priming fuel pumps by pressurizing the fuel tank then cranking until it fires up. I just duck tape an air compressor nozzle to my fuel tank vent and set the compressor regulator to 20 psi.
