Do you also want Air/Water temp on the same gauge? If so I would go with this:

If you don't need the temps then I'd go with this:

My boat has the factory installed Hummingbird depth gauge with in hull tranducer. In Hull is an easier install since you don't have to drill a hole through the transom. But once you get over the fear of drilling it's really no more difficult. If you want water temp you will need to go with the through hull.

I installed a faria in hull depth finder. Very easy to do and I am happy with it.

Does anyone know if you can replace the paddle wheel with the thru-hull transducer? I have ZO, so no real need for the paddle wheel. I'm looking for one that has air/water temp as well. The link above is transom mount only for the one with air/water temp.

If such a thing exists, it would be cool to find a paddle wheel with depth air/water temp all in one.
