    Rudder question

I assume the rudder is ground or machined down one one side to load the rudder when you are going through the course? Mine is flat on the port side and tapered off on starboard side. Would this also explain why the boat is harder to turn in one direction that the other? The boat also turns much sharper left than right. Is this all in that work done to the one side of the rudder? Hard to believe it makes that much difference.

Prop rotation direction is what causes the boat to turn better in one direction than the other.

Prop is spinning in one direction so this rotation induce a spin in either way. The boat will turn better in the direction where this rotation is going.
Same way that a surf wave is better on the side the prop is turning.
