Another CC Mistake...

Ok, now I'm just letting everyone know about this b/c I find it kind of funny... CC has had their '04 screensavers up for what seemed like forever. Finally, they've updated them. BUT, if you download and look at the "CrossOver Series" screensaver very carefully, you will see that for one of the shots, the one of the boat pulling a boarder, taken from directly the boat, in the wake, you will notice that the shot is reversed. I do not know non-digital cameras that well, but I think it has to do with them not doing something they should have with the negative, maybe?

I noticed it at first by seeing the walk-thru on the starboard side. Initially, I thought it might have been maybe a new Super Air 230 that may come out this fall, but then I saw the mirror and driver reversed as well, and then it was obvious that CC put a shot of their most popular boat on their screensaver, reversed! Diga, like I said a while ago, apply to the Department of Homeland Security for a senior analyst position and blow off the rest of high school and college. You're twice as smart and perceptive as anyone with whom I've worked recently in the Federal Government. Think about it, you could set yourself up on some lake in the U.S., ride all day while working out of your home, and cash $68K per year salary paychecks. That's what they're paying these days for people who can read and right properly and think critically.

I saw a pretty good Correct Craft goof. I belive it was in Trailer Boats or one of the mags. The ad stated something like "Correct Craft wins JD Powers Award for Customer Satisfaction Three years in a row!
But it you look at the awards in the ad, they are for 2002, 2003, and 2005!!!!

They even printed it twice - "Three years in a row"

I guess they Maybe no one will notice - It's not like a crooked bow seat or anything.

That's actually not a mistake.. Gary Meloon explained that to me when I was in Orlando a year ago, in front of the real award. If you recall, in '04, J.D. Power was late in releasing the results of their "tests." By the time the results had gone public, it was at least January of '05, and they decided not to call it '04. So, from now on, or since '04, the year of award corresponds to the year it was released, NOT the year of the boat models. The '05 award is for the '04 line, the '06 award is for the '05 line, and so on... doesn't make as much sense as it should, but its how it is...

Even though the mistake is explainable, it still looks bad because it made the magazine ad. Even though you only have three puppies to give away, you don't post a sign in front of the neighborhood saying 10 Puppies, Free Giveaway!!! I just thought it was kind of funny coming after all those posts where people's interior's were so poorly put together. I saw the ad and said, Man - they can't even get the trophies/awards straight!!

Anyway, just something I noticed. Thanks for the explanation.

I see where you're coming from, but I think the real mistake is J.D. Power changing their method of rewarding to confuse everyone like you and me. A simple reward like this shouldn't need a paragraph explanation...
