Need help with surf wave on a 2011 210
Just curious how people with 2nd gen 210s are getting a good surf wave. I have stock ballast with 600# pound sacks in the rear and an under seat sack in the bow. I've also made one of these Ghetto gates(see attached pics), but I can't seem to get a good wave going. I can get a tall wave but it's really short and close to the boat and it washes over at the top really bad. Any helpful tips would b great.

Our 07 we "listed" the boat quite a bit to get good wave. The starboard side should produce a better wave than port. Try filling up stock tanks and one bag on starboard side . Then set pp to 9.4 and see how that worksCurrent Correct Craft Boat

I made the same style surf gate tested it today works great try flipping it and moving it back to about 1/2'' from the transom lower it to the first step on the hull.

I don't have the ghetto gate , ,but when I listed the boat for the goofy side
I ran
-1100 full in rear(removed my hard tanks) on the surf side
-full center tank
-full center piggy back bag
-200lbs of pop bags under the rear surf side lounge.
Speed 10.5
Hydrogate in the middle

I'm not sure my gate will fit on the one of the steps on the hull. I would definitely have to reduce the width of the gate. I will try turning it round with the gate to the rear of the boat first. I couldn't move it back much further than what you see in the pics because I couldn't get the rear suction cup to grab because of the slight curve of the hull.Originally posted by Nautiquehunter View PostI made the same style surf gate tested it today works great try flipping it and moving it back to about 1/2'' from the transom lower it to the first step on the hull.2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200

I will see if I can get my gate to attach that far back before I try changing the angle of my gate like nr2041 suggested.Originally posted by Nautiquehunter View Post Put it just above the top step and about 1/2'' from the transum.

This was just a prototype I through together. I made it with 2- 1/4-20 bolts holding the gate to the frame [last pic]. I will make some different shape gates and let you know what works best. I was going to make the finished product out of starboard. I have since found out the wood one floats so I will just stay with wood .
