the blurb on nautique website says the pebble time for 2017 boats can do ballast shift?

wish nautique was a little more clear with it.

Yep, you're right. I stand corrected.

The 2017 boats can work with the latest and greatest Pebble firmware (and latest version of the Pebble app). The 2016 boats require the older version of the firmware AND the older version of the Pebble app.

Either way, the Pebble watch then runs the NSS app.
What all can the Pebble control. Am I correct that it controls boat speed, wake side stereo volume?

Yep, all of that plus you can skip to the next track and apparently with the Pebble Time, control ballast shift. There are several videos on Nautique's site you can view showing the functionality.

It can it control ballast shift on a 2016? Dumb question but is that the same as switching the surfable wake from one side to the other? Or is it switching the NSS from one side to the other?

Yes NSS switches the wave to different sides of the boat and it adjust the steepness

So--are you saying that 'ballast shift' is the exact same thing as a NSS 'switch?'

Definitely not, I'm saying that a NSS switch would bring in (retract) the NSS plate on one side and deploy the other side therefore changing from a port side wave to a starboard wave or vise versa. I'm not sure what ballast shift means.these boats run level for surfing both sides.

Ballast shift is so if you have people all sitting on one side or something you can shift your ballast setting to let's say 300 lbs to the port side instead of even, basically making the boat level again without having to shift people around. At least that's how I've viewed it in some videos.

Yea. Honestly though I question the usefulness of having this on the Pebble. Seems like it would be so much easier and quicker to just have someone in the boat scoot over.

I hate asking people to move around, so I would actually find it pretty useful, but to each their own.

Well yea, me too. That said, it'll take 2 seconds for someone to scoot over. There's no way the ballast shift can work that quickly. I'll play around with ballast-shift and see how practical it is.

My people move way too often spontaneously...I find it difficult to tell people to sit still! I've never used the ballast shift. If I just wait a minute, someone moves back and it is all good again. If not, I tell them to move and it is not a big deal for any of the folks I go with.

I just purchased the pebble watch classic. This is my second one following my first purchased back in December. The December watch downloaded the NSS app add on just fine into the Pebble app version 2.6.10. But now I am trying to set up my second watch that I just purchased. For some reason, I cannot download any add on apps into the Pebble Watch application version 2.6.10. This is the version that I think we are supposed to use for the 2016 G 23's. Does anybody have any issues with downloading the add on apps recently into the Pebble App. Do you think pebble turned off the ability to download add on apps into their pebble watch app?

I just tried to download watch faces and other add on apps. I am pretty sure that you cannot download any ad on apps anymore for the Pebble app. So if you have not configured your watch with the NSS app, I think you are out of luck. Can someone try to download an add on app or watchface into the Pebble app and confirm whether you can do so or not.
