At a minimum, they should post something acknowledging that Pebble is done and they're looking into alternatives.

I have purchased two original pebble watches and have converted them to the 2.9 firmware. I have downloaded the old pebble app to my I-phone 7 My problem is that I am unable to download any app to the watch from the app. When I push the add icon in the upper right corner of the app I just get 3 blinking dots that never stop. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so how did you fix it.

Go to post #24 in this thread for directions. If you follow those steps exactly it will work. Good luck!

That is exactly what I did. The problem I am now having is getting any pebble app to load to my app. The only app I am interested in however is the Nautique one but I have tried to load others with no luck as well. I just get the 3 dots in the upper right corner that flash forever.

I don't remember exactly what I did but maybe you download the app BEFORE you downgrade the firmware?

Today, after disappointing results, Fit Bit will be laying off 110 of its employees. Not a good sign. I wonder what Nautique has in store for Surf Select.

I talked with someone high up in sales at Nautique yesterday. I won't say the name just because but it was someone very high up. Super nice guy. Good news and medium news
1)Good news-Nautique is aggressively pursuing and actively committed to a long term fix for this issue. They are checking out a variety of options to come up with a long term solution. It sounded to me like they are looking for a different company to work with (instead of pebble of course) but don't quote anyone on that. That is just my hunch.
2)medium news-I stressed how important it is to support not only current boats but boats that were supposed to have the surf select and it isn't functioning the greatest (like 2016s). They are well aware of the need to support the 2016s and the ultimate goal is to incorporate the fix for 2016s as well. However, they made no guarantees that this will be possible.
So in summary, it was evident to me that they are very actively pursuing a fix but it just takes time. I'm guessing they are trying to have it done for 2018 model release BICBWLast edited by DocPhil; 01-31-2017, 10:41 AM.

I cannot get the pebble app on my phone download any watch app, including the Nautique Surf Select app. This is quite frustrating. Anyone have a bright idea?

Yeah I tried two different iPhones. No androids in the household. I believe the legacy (old) pebble app no longer works on the iPhone. The new app worked fine but now the watch has the updated firmware that will not allow it to work with the boat. What a mess.
