This thread is about the 2016 boats with Surf Select 1.0 or 1.2 modules. Your 2018 has the 2.0 module which uses the latest app/firmware. I have steps listed on how to set those up. The problem is the 2016s which require the old firmware/app.

Do you have the 2.8.1 firmware listed in the Nautique PDF for hardware 102V1?

I was able to get downgraded and I can get the app to try to install using the app Gadgetbridge for Android however the install fails. I'm wondering if it's because this is Surf Select 2.0 app? Do you have the pbw for the older Surf Select app?

I don't. And this is the same problem I was having. I just could not get the old Surf Select app to install on the phone, therefore I couldn't send it to the watch.

Hmmm I can install other apps (e.g. Yelp) but the Surf Select 2.0 seems completely incompatible. I tried re-packaging it to make it more like a v2 firmware app but still the install just fails. I'm confident if I had the Surf Select 1.0 PBW I'd be able to install it but finding that may be impossible.

I'm not entirely sure it came over from the Pebble servers to the Rebble servers....

It doesn't seem like it did. I found the release ID of v1 and trying to download the PBW for it but it's not there. I also found an archive of all the Pebble apps and it looks to contain only the latest released at the time (so v2 for Surf Select).

I gave up and upgraded to the v2 module. Dealer sold it to me for "cost" (~$200 after taxes). Super easy swapout and module + pebble time still less than buying a Garmin Fenix watch.

Yea. It's a bummer but people with MY2016 boats DO have a path forward with the 2.0 (or 3.0 with Garmin) module. It's a simple swap and Pebble watches are available and inexpensive. I was really hoping there would be more functionality with the Garmin but there is not. All of the functions are identical to the Pebble.

Thanks for your effort here, man. I know you spent quite a few hours trying to side-load the app.

I love wearing my Apple Watch while surfing and being able to control the stereo volume and playlist. I just wish the Apple Watch could control the transfers as well.

                            - 2019 SANTE 230 so it has the Surf Select 2.0 module
                            - Pebble Time watch

Steps we took to get this going:

                            1) Factory reset on the watch.
                            2) On the phone go to Bluetoot settings, select the watch and "forget" it.
                            3) On the phone, web browser to auth.rebble.io.
                            4) Login to Rebble site.
                            5) From the Pebble app on the phone go to the App Store, find and download the Nautique Surf Select app.
                            6) Once the watch is finished resetting, connect to it from the Pebble app on the phone.
                            7) This will update the watch to firmware version 4.4 and automatically install the Nautique Surf Select app.
                            8) Once that's done, verify that the Surf Select app will start on the watch.
                            9) From the watch, go to Bluetooth settings and "forget" the phone.
                            10) From the phone, go to Bluetooth settings and "forget" the watch.
                            11) From the boat, get to the system settings menu and select "Pair with Pebble."
Followed your directions and I keep getting a add to locker failed notice when I try to get app from app store on phone. Any Ideas?
