Same here....those paint schemes are ridiculous expensive! I will say....you should think twice about the pocket door!!! Dunno if you've seen one in person, but they're really a nice feature! Solid piece and convenient! Just ask NautiqueJeff! It is expensive, but I've always had use for the walkway door in every boat I've had!

I mean..... I only have a tandem axle basic trailer but my 2016 G23 had an MSRP of 187,500.00 with XR550, studio elite, tower amp prep, factory Bimini, heater, heated seats, surf select, phender pro, design package, cam tow point, batt charger, cover, fire extinguisher, pocket door, arm rests, transom remote, and all flake sides and colored hull.... Pretty much loaded with 550 except a couple grand worth of tower speakers and underwater lights. I'm looking at the 2016 MSRP sheet, and can't see how it is possible to hit 230k unless it was a fully loaded G25 with the shiny 550, coastal package, and fully loaded with a 10k triple axel trailer.

Yeah I agree with you....I feel like this dealer may be working you a little! I could actually PM you my build sheet if you want to see the MSRP quotes I received, Ironman!

Here's the up charges on mine just for color placements:

      Galaxy Graphic= $211
Forward Stripe Gunmetal (main stripe is also gunmetal but no charge) = $1509
Interior Deck color placement = $3706
      Accent Color Placement = $498
Design Package = $3558 (this is a little excessive cost if you ask me for what it is but why not)
Hull Bottom Color Placement = $1141
      Platform Color Placement = $498
Grand Total for color placement = $11,121.00

^ The 2 things that jumped out at me are the galaxy etch non skid should only be $1141.00, and almost 4K for interior deck color is crazy. But seems that's what it is.

I would definitely mention the non skid price. That will save you $3,500.00 off the MSRP.

I was going to say...I didn't get the galaxy etch because I actually like the regular better, but I would have never imagined it would be that much of an upcharge!!! Looks like they increased more than just the base price when the price increase went into effect!

I...um...I...sorry...I just gotta say it. Are you f#$%^&*g kidding me!! Y'all're spending upwards to two hundred thousand US American greenback dollars on a frickin' boat?! Wow. There's some very fortunate people here when your life's priorities find you spending that kinda dough. I guess obviously how do the big fancy things become affordable used fancy things eventually. Someone bought the thing new first. But wow. I guess the old saying still works...if you have to ask then you can't afford it. I wouldn't even entertain the mere glance at any price on such things. I ain't rich.

Maybe what's getting me is then people gripe about a few thou more...WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY TALKING $200K! FOR A TOY! A LUXURY ITEM! Come on. Just pay the price and enjoy the fruits of your wealth. You know...if you wanna play you gotta pay.

Hey, I just want to say congratulations on your boat, it's going to be a gorgeous boat and I hope you love it. I know there are a few comments in here that are kinda negative towards what you paid for the boat, but if you can afford it, what the **** is a $10k difference in "best price ever", that is the difference between 20% and 15% msrp discount on a $200k purchase.

Enjoy your luxury item, you deserve it, if you wanted a $30k used Moomba, that's what you would have bought.

Welcome to the community, thank you for sharing your experience so openly, I will envy your boat from across the lake.

The cost per foot nowadays really blows me away, bought my first brand new CC very loaded about 17 years ago at $1500 ft, had I opted for the top motor (Python) it would have jumped to about $1950 ft. Looking at your numbers a fully loaded machine after 17% off msrp is $7300 ft., base model after 17% off msrp is $5000 ft, LOL, the cost to add "every" option could just about buy you a brand new base model Ski Nautique, doh!!

Anyways, just an observation, enjoy your new boat and Congrat's!!!

Yeah we are talking about a $200K boat...but after discounts, you're really only looking at around $150-160k. I know that is still a CRAP TON of money, but...some people are very wealthy and can afford to drop this kind of dough in cash on one and it doesn't even phase their bank account. Others, like me, are able to finance such a machine, and with interest rates the way they are and long loan terms (granted they may not be the smartest financial decision), the monthly payments can actually be surprisingly low! My new G is actually only costing me about another $150/month than my used '08 XStar was costing me! And while I'm not rich, I can afford just $150 more per month! I'm with you though, I had no gripes about adding this and that feature for a few thousand more simply because I was financing. Now I can understand that for somebody who may be wanting to drop cash on this specific luxury item but only has a set amount, wanting to save a couple thousand here and there!

Only $150 per month more than a used 08? How does that work?

Lower interest rates! And a substantially larger down payment!

Exactly. Must have been one huge down payment. Are the interest rates for wakeboard and ski boats comparable to cars these days?

In some deals they are. And I made a boo boo...I got my truck payment and previous boat payment confused...my payment will actually increase $205! Haha...Either way...I can still afford that increase no problem. And I did put 25% down and got 3.99% apr

I don't want to start class warfare here... Just because I may drop a lot of money on certain items, doesn't mean I should just let money flow freely out of my pocket. Some of us got to this point by scraping by for quite a while.

If you watch the pennies, you don't have to worry about the dollars.

I don't think the point of this site is to criticize anyone's purchases, priorities, or life choices. Anyone buying any new model of a tournament boat is paying a lot of money-whether they have it or. If we criticized everyone who spent a lot of money of their boats this place would not have room for much else. Just my 2 cents.
