1st day on new boat - GoPro

My buddy put together a quick video of my first outing on our new boat (2014 SAN 210).
This was back in July, but the winter time blues have me stuck in the house watching videos.

Awesome video. Congrats on the boat. Just one quick tip. Looks like you're surf speed is way fast. You should be around 10-11mph. If I had to guess you were more around 15-16 judging by the wake.

Winter time blues . . . . I totally get that.

Boating season in Oregon doesn't start in earnest until June (even then the water is freezing a$$ cold), so basically all I am doing is looking at pictures of last year's outings to get me through the Winter. It's going to be a LONG four months! Thanks for the video. Definitely going to pull the GoPro out this coming Summer so I have something to look at NEXT Winter (LOL).

No doubt! We were all over the place with the surf speed and the ballast settings when we first got the boat.
We have gotten it a lot better, but depending on how many people we have and also how deep the water is we still struggle at times.

I live in Texas so we have a very mild winter, but because we are so used to the extreme heat we cant handle anything even remotely cold. lol
We should be able to start riding without a wetsuit around the end of April or beginning of May.

Here is what works really well for a buddy with a 14 210.
He piggy backed a 750 on the surf side and 300 lbs of lead in nose. Even with the NSS the best wave seems to come still with a little bits of lean in the surf side. His avg depth is 9-10ft on the high end 7ft regulary. Anything below the 7ft mark you lose some of the wave. Speed is 10.7

So he has the pro ballast and added another 750 lbs?
Or did he replace the 400lb sack with a 750?
Do you know which sack he is running?
I have some 750lbs fly high sacks from our last boat, but the are too long it seems for the rear locker.

I am 99% sure he just pulled the 4's and added the 750. Even if it is just a tad long the bag will fill the entire space. So pop your 750 in there.
