    Airguide speedometer replacement.

I didn't find a direct answer when I searched, so here goes.

I want to replace the Airguides on my 1989 Ski Nautique (2001 hull). They have issues.

I have the big black-faced Airguides. Do the newer 90's style white-faced Airguides work fine - same size, mount fine in the dash, same tubing and pitot, etc.? They seem to be easier to find.

    Thanks!

    RE: Airguide speedometer replacement.

Yes they are the same gauges but with white faces instead of black. Accually i have in the past used newer gauges inteernal parts to repair the older chrome reaised units used in the late 70s to early 80s boats.

Yeah, there are some other pitot pickups that will work in place of your Airguides but the mount will require new holes in your transom as well as filling the original holes with a good marine sealant (white Marine Tex works well) or resin and gelcoat if you're concerned about cosmetics. Might be a good time to consider a Perfect Pass Cruise Control and never deal with a clogged pitot again! Once you've used one you'll never go back.
