    RE: B39

I have only been on the foil for three months, so I am just learning my first invert. I have riden a shock tower and I found it was a lot different than my rock tower as I had to get used to going down as I started my jump. The soft tail does not give at the start but has some coushin on landing, if that makes sence to you.

Echo, your river is deep enough for a Pro or LEX, but not a B39? Thats a matter of inches! Sounds pretty risky to me... When my dad hit bottom on first run out on new ski it wasn't pretty (but kinda funny). Ski had to be sent back to CA to get refurbished by Mike Murphy.

When I tried the dismount on the B39, the thing that stood out the most was that I felt much heavier and had much more momentum. I was scared at first b/c it felt that once I went, I wouldn't be able to stop. There is definately a feeling of extra weight, slower responce, and higher momentum, kinda like switching from a Porsche to a Rolls Royce.

I think the extra weight will help me cause I have never got used to riding fast like you have to do on a LEX. I ride at 21mph and the extra momentum is something I like. I have tried 1 dismount gainer with it so far and I got futher around on that one than I ever did on my old cast ski.

By the way, I am not riding at 39, I have it set at 37 1/2.

The summer months are usually fine. I just have to look out for weeds and a few sandbars. Winter is another story. I foil year round and the water level stays low in winter on the Parker Strip. I foil at 27 and am very comfy at that speed. I do not need any extra performance from my foil as I have not even come close to what I have seen the pros do on it. Besides, trying to justify to your wife that your $4000 dollar ski is not good enough and you need to upgrade is a hard sale. With that all said... I would still like to try the longer t-bar to see what I am missing. I keep telling myself, its not the lenght of the tbar that matters, its the..... never mind!

Yes but when you have a longer bar you can dive deeper and have a more explosive effect on liftoff......(:>) Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
