I've seen a lotta people make this honest mistake... but just to clarify... SkySki DOES NOT = AirChair!!! They may be the same sport, but totally different foils, material, quality, everything... 90% of foilers use SkySki, all the pros except for one. Just happens that the one pro that uses AC is the best. Anybody who'se ever seen Geno Yauchler (sp?) do a Ball and Chain knows what I'm talking about...
      Abun,

Bob Wooley from Air Chair might take exception to this. I think the Air Chair and SkySki are pretty similar. Each company has different innovations but I think the basics are pretty close. SkiSky does a better job of moving their units here in the east though...Oh yeah - I ride an AirChair in case you didn't guess mainly because I got a brand new stealth air chair for $699...

Redelf, sorry to hijack thread, I'll post pictures soon!

        Debate!

This is a sort of Ford vs Chevy argument. Best left to the dedicated hydrofoil sites (hydrofoil@yahoo.com) Well, its not really tolerated there either. I drive a Chevy but I am glad Ford is there to create competition and thus innovation. Here is a pic so I don't get yelled at!

Some may say that SkySki vs. AirChair - CC vs. MC, but I try to keep the two apart. We started on an AC and switched soon after. We immedietly got turned onto the SkySki once we tried it, as well as many others. I'm sure there are a lot of great riders out there that use AC, but as far as I know/knew I thought SkySki pretty much dominated the market.

The Hydrofoil chat over at Yahoo can help, but I feel they have they're own little colt thing where everybody knows everybody. I don't like their system as much as this (pHpBB). Everything over there is just 1 thread or 1 section... Everyone AC and SS owner thinks 'my foil is better than yours,' just no one actually says it...

              Foils

              909,

You won't get an argument from me. I love my LEX! Besides, billet holds up much better then cast when you hit sandbars as I sometimes do.
Just saying, if it was up on Lake Havasu and Mr Wooley foiled by on a V38 and in a MC, I would try to flag him down and get a ride.

The yahoo group may seem clickish, but I find it a great source for foil info!

Here is another pic... So I don't get yelled at!

No worries Echo... I actually wasn't trying to argue at all in fact just thought I was trying to nip something in the bud... But whatever... just another online-miscomunication I guess...

If I was on a lake w/o my boat or foil I'd flag down any MC-owning AirChairer as well!

Yeah Yahoo is clickish that true... I still feel like the "new kid that can't land an invert" over there so I just monitor that stuff...

I'd like to get a foiler reunion of some sort... that'd be really cool. Just like Nautique owners form they're own community, like us, I feel like SkySkiing does the same thing... So what could be better than a Nautique-Owning SkySkier!?

I got to ride the B39 on Saturday with some people I met on the lake that day. They kinda made it a hybrid by putting a bat front wing and flat back wing on it, they were using the rear bat on their LEX. It is definately a much longer foil than that LEX I'm used to and I went flying on this B39. You can really feel the extra length and weight even when just turning. Have fun w/ it, and good luck!

BTW, where do you put the SkySki in the 211 when you're not using it? Are you going to get a Comptech rack?

I have a Sky Boom rack. I'll try to remember to take a picture of it on the rack next time I am out. I got the rack used for $100.00 I really like the foil so far, it really has a lot of pop. I noticed that my jumps go twice as high with the same amout of effort.

                                B39

Nice setup. How would you compare the soft tail to the shock tower. I have never been on a hard or soft tail. I have always used the shock tower. What does the extra weight feel like on inverts? My river is too shallow to move up to a longer foil. Not that I could afford a new t bar anyways!
