    Personal Best

As the season begins to wind down (up here in the northeast, anyway) I thought it might be time to post some personal best shots.

I just got my Sky Ski about two months ago and have fell in love with it. I am getting a B39 foil this Saturday to replace my cast foil. Here are a couple of picks of my dismount gainer attempts. They are ugly but I am trying, also one of a jump behind the boat.

Fatboy, how fast are you going? Also I'd try that gainer out in the flats, esp. if I didn't have a helmet or quick-release. I dont like my neck being that close to the rope there...

The way I first landed mine was just by pulling out to the side real hard and getting some extra speed and then thowing myself back. Guess its gotten you addicted too, it has a way to do that....

I am going 21 mph. Since those pics were taken I have a helmet and a chinch quick release.

Nice... Skyski also makes a quickrelease, but it works a little diferently. It attaches to the tower, and you bypass the pylon part. The rope attaches to this quickrelease and there is a rope that the spotter pulls to release the rope. This is a nice feature for trying rolls specifically for beginners. This way, a pro can drop the rope if he even sees the rope getting near your neck. Where with the Cinch, it has to catch, and then lets go. Both are great, and I know people that use the Cynch with the SkySki quickrelese...

I can't wait to get my new foil. I bought it from Billy Rossinie and he is giving me a lesson on Saturday when I pick it up.

Hmmm...maybe I wasn't clear (again). This thread was an invitation for everybody to post a pic or two of their own personal best or just an interesting shot.

Anybody see SkySki in the '06 Guiness (sp?) World Record Book? Some guy had the highest jump on a skyski pro... but it was only like 12 feet... doesn't seem right...

I've seen a lotta people make this honest mistake... but just to clarify... SkySki DOES NOT = AirChair!!! They may be the same sport, but totally different foils, material, quality, everything... 90% of foilers use SkySki, all the pros except for one. Just happens that the one pro that uses AC is the best. Anybody who'se ever seen Geno Yauchler (sp?) do a Ball and Chain knows what I'm talking about...
