Clamp racks for g23

Just doing a quick internet search and can't find any sort of clamping racks for g23. I must say after the Sumer not a huge fan of the bungee secure that comes with rack I have. Anyone out there have any clamping style racks on g23?

Before I bought the g I test drove a bunch and remember how easy the mastercraft x30 rack secure was - and given the amount of changing out of boards we do I totally underestimated how nice it'd be.

i agree, the clamp racks are the only thing that i miss from my mastecraft.

More research shows a post on this forum from 2 years ago but they were $3k and look to only be available on tige and malibu.....still searching.

Yes clamping racks are cool, convenient and probably faster to get boards in and out. Nor will you get a giant rubber band snapping back in your face!

But with that said I've personally been on 2 boats where boards have slipped out of clamping racks. Never seen a board slip out of a rack with a bungie holding it in. Just saying.

fairly certain PTM makes the clamp racks for Malibu.... not available direct from PTM, only avail as a Malibu factory option at $3k a pair.

I'd love to have those racks, but not in the same conversation with numbers like $3k. I'd really like to have 3 slot racks. 2 thick, and 1 thin in the middle on each side.

On a side note, I am looking at the Roswell Swivel Mounts as a replacement for our racks... the OEM swivel works OK for folks who know the swiveland new Nautiques well. Anyone new to Nautique or is a guest will wrestle with figuring out how to push up on it correctly to get it to release. Kind of sick of that, it should be easy and intuitive, and its certainly not. The OEM swivels need work.

I have clamp racks on order... it is taking a while because they are in small production and they have one item to perfect on the racks... will report when I receive them and have them installed... they are $2100 which is stiff but I agree I am not a fan of the bungee racks...

Yes, PTM are exclusive with Malibu and Tige... a buddy of mine has a 2015 23 LSV with the PTM clamp racks... I can move the boards in the racks when they are clamped down... not a fan I still tried to get them to release one for me but they could not... actually I am glad they didn't now that I have seen and used them.

Once you have a quality clamp rack...you will hate using bungees ever again.

There is no link as they are not listed on the website... I ordered from Samson Sports out in Washington... hopefully they will be arriving soon. There is not a link because he cannot make them fast enough so he doesn't want to get so back logged... best way to inquire to call Scott at Samson...

Are the racks that you bought a "clamp style" similar to Mastercraft and the PTM's there can be ordered on 2014 and newer Malibu boats? I am asking because I see no clamp style racks that Samson offers. Love their stuff and have their products on my boat.

Yes they are those type of clamp racks... they call them strapless racks... they are not listed on the website... best thing to do is call Scott at Samson to discuss...

I was told the reason Nautique dose not offer them is the possibility of having the rope get caught on a down rider tight turn pick up and then pulling a board out on the next pull.

Mastercraft, Malibu and Supra all offer the clamp style racks. Nautique ought to at least offer it as an option.
