Seadek maintenance

I recently replaced all of the seadek material in my boat and wanted to get some input from all of you. I replaced the platform and the interior kit (not the floor) and once I received the pieces, I realized how much the color had changed over the past 3 years. There was a dramatic difference in coloring. I started thinking about how expensive this would be to keep having to change out after every few years of use to keep it looking good. Has anyone found a way to keep the coloring in shape? I did try to take some sandpaper to some of the old pieces to see if there was original coloring beneath the surface and found that I was able to bring it back, but this would be a lot of work to recover and to keep the smoothness uniform. Any thoughts?

Im not sure if it will work... But, I use spray oxyclean on mine with a bristle bush. Seems to do a great job and get out anything I've stained it with. It can't hurt.

What color SeaDek do/did you have?

I have the teak color. The new material had a orangish look to it and the 3 year old material had already changed to a dull brownish look. I still have an old piece on it where the lifting ring is. I will take some pics for you all to see the difference.

Hmmm. I know they changed the color of the gray slightly a couple of years ago. Not sure about the brown.

If you use oxyclean make sure you rinse it!!! That stuff bleaches carpet , especially in the sun! I see it every week as a carpet cleaner.
