So this thread got me thinking and I did some looking. We are with US Bank at %7.25 with great credit and great income. Guess we missed the "boat" on the crappy terms of our loan. I did some quick research and came across Essex Credit. They seem to have the best public rates, CU's not considered. So I am applying for a much shorter term with a lower rate to get this thing paid for.

I have not signed yet ( suppose to Saturday at the boat show) with bb&t. But Essex seams to have a rate of 4.68 for 15.

I completed the online loan app yesterday with Essex and everything seems legit. %3.99 for $30k on a 48 month term. All I owe them now is my W-2's and pay stub then we should be on our way. We pay an extra $500 every quarter but I still could not stomach the idea of paying for an 8 year old boat so we escalated everything. I don't mind paying out as long as possible on low interest loans but when I realized we were at %7.5 percent I lost it. My goal is to get this paid of in 18 months, think we've already paid enough interest on this toy.

Recent Boat Lenders

In ok or Texas first fidelity bank is great. Got 4.25 on 5 years

I wouldn't use boa if it were free. Took almost three months to get a lien release last time and a lot of threats. I had to get counsel to finally make them send it. They lied several times and said they sent it. Crazy !

Interesting. I've used Bank of America twice and both times without any issues.
