Anyone heard from Chattwake in a while

I have friend looking at an Axis 22 boat and asked me my thoughts. I have never been in one, so I couldn't say. I did a quick search and there seemed to be a lot of 2011's for sale with lower hours. I don't even think I have sat in one.

Chattwake, if you are out there, what do you think? Are you ready to move back into a Nautique?

He moved to Malibu this season. I'm sure he can still give any info you need about Axis, but based on his comments lately I think he has moved away from Nautique for good.

Yeah he seems to have lost his love for Nautique. Guessing his nauti dealer wasn't leaving him enough meat on the bone so he could make money selling every year so he jumped to Axis and now BU. Tige next???

My buddy has a22 vandall 2013, good wakeboard wake with plug n play bags plumbed in. Surf wake pretty solid as well.

Chatt is only loyal to the brand that gives him the best deal. I suspect something happened to his Nauti dealer so that's why he went to Axis . He said he only went with BU last time because they didn't offer Surfgate on the Axis. The BU is now for sale with 15 hours on it. He seems like a nice guy but I think he promotes for the dealer to get himself a better deal. I wouldn't take his recommendations very seriously.

The A22 has a real nice wake. What I can't get past is the interior. The interior is very cheap feeling- the dash, the panels, etc. If they ever improve the quality of their interior and improve the cruise system the A22 would be on my list of possible next boats.

last year I was set on an axis but the interior design/quality is so cheap....plus I do not like the towers at all. Im glad I didnt get an axis.

Actually Malibu really doesn't have a equivalent to the A22. Granted the MXZ is very similar but people say the wake isn't the same or as nice as the axis. Plus the interior of a MXZ 22 feels smaller than a axis.

I too was very interested in a A22 but it still felt to cheap to spend $50k on. Now if I could get a new A22 for no more than $40k now we are talking!

My buddy had a 12 axis a22 Vandal he bought used with 25 hours. I never got to wakeboard it with ballast full but wake had a nice shape with wedge down and 5 people in the boat. The ballast pump was broken and wouldn't fill left rear tank.

The boat rode good, but i felt cramp with 4 to 5 people setting in the back compared to same amount of people riding in my other friends 230. The fit and finish was cheap looking and to me it definitely screamed cheap wake boat with a good wake.
