Mounting a bimini for a 2008 SANTE (without drilling)

I've been researching this forum (and others) for a bimini, and am leaning towards the Ameritex OTT bimini. I know Tower Biminis is recommended often, but I like how the Ameritex wraps the Titan tower at the top-sides (for added OTT coverage).

Problem is... I don't want to drill/mount rivets/screws on the tower (which I liked about the TB bimini clamps). I was thinking of maybe just using clamps in place of the mounting points for the Ameritex -- anyone with experience using clamps in place of riveting the tower for biminis?

Just curious, but why do you want an OTT. For the most part, they don't give much coverage unless it's middle of the day.

Yup. They are definitely not usable with the under mount.

I thought the Ameritex looked good as an OTT, especially as it wrapped the tower. I like the looks of the Tower Bimini ones but they seem really high as OTTs.

Has been more difficult than I imagined finding a bimini I want something low enough for good cover, but designed to allow the functionality of the existing parts.

I have the over the tower from tower bimini's. Admittedly, when anchored, depending on time of day, and how windy it is moving the boat around you might have to move around some to stay in the shade. But I really like the head room, and could not imagine it being lower. Quality wise I am ok with tower bimini's. On mine, they diduse all clamps, so no holes in the tower, but for me that is not a big deal. Rather then the clamps and pins, my old boat had quick release pins like this overtons link. Frankly I would rather have lower profile things screwed into the tower then the big profile clamps that I do have.

Thanks Scottb - useful feedback on the clamps!

I use my board racks without issue on my 06 SANTE and I have an under the tower from tower biminis.

I would look at Tower Bimini. I have had the OTT on my 211 and now the 230. They are great to work with. Tower did not have a design that worked with the FCT5 and John worked on it for several weeks and came up with a design we are very happy with.
