Thanks for sharing the photos! What are they doing to that red and white G that is suspended in the air?

i believe using a laser to line up the running gear. The precision is unreal. It next goes onto a trailer and the engine is hoisted in, transmission is placed, and they start with the harnesses, NSS, etc

The G21 is happening, but I cannot post any information or pictures which I may (or may not) have. I promised that since I was allowed to take pictures with little, if any, restriction, I would respect their wishes when it came to publishing on planetnautique. It was also asked that I do not publish on any other site, since they are fans and supporters of PN. Needless to say, out of respect of the brand, and the kindness and opportunity afforded to me by certain individuals in the Nautique family, I am respecting their wishes. But, they do recognize our concerns regarding their products (even though they are more fine-tuning type issues) and work hard to improve them. Almost all of the questions I asked (posted by members of PN) have been addressed and solutions are forthcoming.

I cannot believe you were allowed to take pictures at the factory like this. I tried to take one on my tour back in November and almost got my arm chopped off ...... The tour I got was ~1 hour and then we were rushed out. I guess you gotta spend more than $150,000 to get treated well at the factory ....

I really dont think that has anything to do with it. the tour was set up through my dealer (Robbie at Action Water Sports, AZ), who in turn discussed with the west coast Nautique rep (WHo is an unreal guy). I initially discussed taking pictures and posting them on planet nautique, and apparently it was cleared from the higher ups. I treated all the employees with respect, waiting on pictures while forklifts etc were rushing around since they have a very precise deadline, and I, fortunately did not. I am sure that some of my tour was different because I had a boat on the line, but in no way was it because of which boat and how much money I spent. It felt to me that everybody involved, from Mr. Ralph Mellon, to Mr Bill Yeargin, to the production line workers, to Steve Carlton (research designer), to Mike Yauch (VP of domestic sales) all just loved seeing how excited my gf and I were to see the boat being made (invited us back for a second day at the factory to see the progress right before heading to the airport). I met so many people who gave me their cell numbers to call if their was a problem (Sam who installs and programs the Lincs systems), etc. Some of this may have been different if I had no bought a boat, but no too much. Much of the time was spent detailing the process of building boats, and since I have rebuild several, the questions I had for the designers and employees just kept building into a longer and more in depth tour. It also did not hurt that the weekend I was there, Nautique had flown out dealers from across the country, so they were geared up for showing the factory. Depending on the timing you were taking your tour, they may have been moving some of the research and development boats around, and could not allow a full tour or pictures because of that. I certainly recommend taking the tour, and doing your best to set it up through your dealer or district sales manager, and detail your expectations.

I bought a G25 and wasn't allowed to take pics so I'm not sure it's the amount of $$ you spend with them! The no picture policy was less about product secrecy than an incident a while back where a worker was caught in background without goggles on or doing something else similar that would have been a minor OSHA violation. Pic got posted on net, someone at Co. saw it and they changed policy. Fact that you were there on weekend when workers weren't active (?) might be the difference. I would have loved to have been able to snap more pics but wasn't that big of a deal.

ers906 - you dropped some nice coin on a new boat. Go buy yourself a better compact camera that can focus better in low light!

It was an iPhone, my gf had the real camera and wasnt too into the picture taking. I just pretty much did a point and shoot of everything I saw. My other cameras are much better, but i likely would have keeled over from dehydration sweating so much with the humidity. AZ is such a dry heat etc etc

in your opinion what was the product mix. looks like lots of g23's and 210. any 230's still being built.
