Sounds like everyone is doing well. I wasn't trying to call anyone out. I was just trying to bring light to the fact people get very aggressive and negative on these forums in the winter. Boat withdrawals I guess. I am going to take note of where all these Gs are and start bringing my board on the road with me. Hopefully when this pilot shortage kicks in I'll be able to write my own ticket and pick up one of these beauties from one of you a year or two old.00 SAN 210 (previous boat)

as a few have stated already; it's really personal preference. and assuming you can figure out a way to pay for it. i have an 04 yukon that has a back up camera, nav, remote start, and a killer system. i looked at a loaded 2012 the other day and thought it was totally lame for being 8 years newer so i threw the thought out of my mind. my dad likes to get out of leases early and get a new model car even though it's a stupid move. the more people that buy g's means the more used ones that will be available in the future and the more money nautique and dealers will have to increase the consumer experience.

I enjoyed reading this and all the great comments about personal finance. Most of you sound so young! what a wonderful gift to be able to enjoy the water.
I grew up very poor and was pretty much on my own by age 12. i have had full-time jobs since the age of 16. I did go to college and paid for it completely on my own with no help from anyone else. I started my own business in the health care industry and today own a few different companies primarily revolving around medicine/dentistry and the development of commercial real estate health care properties. America to me is a land of enormous opportunity for those who can dream and take risks.
I have not posted a lot on this site but, have become addicted to it since the G23 came out and anxiously await my boat. but, as much as i love the G23, i am far more in love with my family, my company and all the wonderful people that work for it and bring their passion to help grow and care for their patients as well as our little business.
i am 48 and hoping to be able to wakeboard as long as i can hold on to the rope and not kill my aging body. i wish all the young, developing, entrepreneurs on this site much success and to hold on to your dreams and fall madly, passionately, in love with what you do. it is infectious and people will follow that passion. if you pursue money and that is the primary goal, then you become a taker, not a giver. But if you become a "giver" and make it your life pursuit to improve others lives, the money will follow.
And i assure you, the money will be far greater, the wealth deeper, and a life respected... peace and love.2013 G23 550 NSS

I think the real question should be " how do you guys afford a g25" or better yet how do you rationalize spending 180k on a wakeboard boat ?? You can get a lake house for that haha They are a nice looking machine can't wait to see one in person !

I guess I live in the wrong part of the country... Yeah, but they have tons of lakes in that area. Here in Virginia lakes are hard to come by, so the waterfront homes start at half a mil for anything decent. Therefore, I live off the water.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We bought our place 5 years ago when the economy was tanking. The owners wanted to sell quick. It's an older cabin but very comfy and has good deep water, excellent view, dockable, and has 1.5 acres. We gave 230 K which was the best deal we could find during our 6 month search. The lot next door to us had an older cabin which was torn down and sold for 250K. The house on the other side of us is valued at 575K. Then, the lot two doors down from that with an old cabin sold for 225K and they built a million dollar monster. So, we in a good spot, but the tax man is already knocking. LOL
