Anyone have any experience with transporting boat cross country? 2002 SN with folding Flight Tower, White Lake Marina, NC to Bullhead City, AZ. Prices seem a little high. Greater than $3500 for transport on a flatbed. Any contacts would be appreciated.

Uship .com works well. I sent some furnature (sofa, queen bed) from Albuquerque to SF for $300.00 He was going to pick up a truck he would have had room for a boat and trailer.Nautiqueless in San Diego

I used uShip as well from CA to TX. It was my first time and it went smooth. About $1200 to have a reputable, insured carrier it tow behind a box truck (this protected the boat somewhat from the wind/debris). I would recommend travelling with the tower up.
I forgot the name though.

I purchased the 2012 PN 210 just a few months ago. The boat was shipped from White Lake, NC to my house in Houston, TX. I used UShip.com and found a shipper located in NC. If you contact him directly, you can get a much better deal than going through UShip. I highly recommend him. He did a terrific job; his communication was great (he personally answered the phone every time I called); he's fully insured and provided me a copy of his insurance certificate before he picked up the boat; he even moved up the ship date at the last minute at my request. Cost me about $1400, but would have been cheaper if I went directly through him (rather than UShip).
His name is Harry LeBar with Lake Norman Transport. 704-975-2876

He will tow the boat on its own trailer (not on a flatbed).Current: 2017 G23
Previous: 2012 210 TE (former PN boat), 2005 210 TE, 2001 X-Star

Total cost was about $1.40 per mile, but that was for 670 miles, so you might get greater economies of scale with the longer distance.Originally posted by kmgs View PostJohn Collins from uship.com transported my boat from TX to TN - and did an awesome job! Unsure if he had a flatbed or not.

My neighbor sold his boat near Houston Texas in 2010 to a couple in Edmonton Canada. The buyers arranged for Showroom Transport to tow it to Montana/Canada border for $1,250. http://www.showroomtransport.com/default.asp
The driver had a dually diesel pickup and towed the boat on its own trailer. It is 1,900 miles or more.
