    New Coversports cover

Just got my new cover installed. I was a little worried given some recent comments on the forum, but must say I'm extremely pleased. It fits perfectly and looks to be built well. Installation was much easier than I expected. It's really not difficult, just can be tough to explain. Cutting and tying the rope was simple. I actually thought is was more of a pain getting the J hooks perfect.

Having trouble uploading pics on tapatalk. Will do so later

what tower do you have on your boat? i've got an fct 1 gen2(folding) i've been wanting to order one, but i am skeptical from the previous post also. I mean if i get a cover that doesn't fit and i'm told i can't return it then i'm going to be the complete opposite of a sane person.

I never remember which tower is which, but I believe it is the first foldable tower. It looks like the older unhinged towers from the late 90s boats, but is foldable obviously. Boat is 2002 san.

The only thing I don't like about the Coversports cover is that it doesn't cover the back transom. The new factory covers go under the rub rail all the way around. What is everyone else's thought on that?

Cool. I have the same tower. I personally don't care if the transom is covered bc, assumingly, it's white back there. And it seems more versatile if you need to cover the boat properly wo the platform.

Does your boat have a retractable transom pylon or did you remove it? I have been wanting to order one of these covers just concerned it want fit right. I have a 2003 SANTE so it should be the same cover you have. How does it attach to the rub rail?

Good call. I did not even notice he doesn't have a pylon sticking up.

I have always had two covers, the ones that come with the boat and cover the swim platform I use when the boat is in the boat lift, its quick to put on and covers the swim platform ,and since I have a roof don't have to worry about water pooling which it will. The cover sport cover I use when I have to trailer, or if I would have to leave on trailer or a few times when mooring ,water will never pool. but each to their own.

I have the retractable pylon. I'm interested to know if water pools with it retracted. Will report back.

So glad you are happy with Cover Sports -- because NO ONE at cover sports will return my emails or phone calls and they refuse to make me a cover that fits - - since the one they did make fits like crap !!!

Dont know where Brent has gone off to or when he might be back - but as far as I am concerned, these people ripped me off and I will plan on spreading the word about how we were treated and their refusal to make the situation right.

I have a Cover Sport cover and for the last year and a half it is either on the covered hoist or in the garage but two weekends ago it was on the trailer outside in a light to medium rain with no pooling but when I took the cover off there was a line of water everywhere there was a seam. So I e-mailed Brent on a Sunday night and he called me promptly that evening and said that he has never had a complaint about leaking and told me to go buy so seam seal and try that. In my past experinces with a tent is the seam seal leaves a white film where it is applied and on a navy cover that is not the look I was going for so I will be going back to my old cover for when it is on the trailer outside and the Cover Sport cover for trailering.

For what it's worth, I. Have a Cover Sport cover on my 2004 SANTE and it fits like a glove. I bought the boat in the Seattle area, then promptly got moved to New Orleans, then to Norfolk, VA. I towed the boat on both moves with the cover on. It performed flawlessly going 75+ on both the 3000 miles from Seattle to New Orleans and the 1000 miles from New Orleans to Norfolk a couple years later. It was outside in the open for a month or two until I found covered storage. I don't recall any leaks, but the sun in NOLA does a pretty good job of drying out a black cover...
