    Snap in carpet

I'm thinking about installing snap in carpet in my 01 Air has anyone ever done this/or know of it being done to a 01?
I know it's gonna be a custom job and all just want some input.
    Thanks

ive never done one in an 01 air but i have done in a few other boats, its pretty basic, all i did was screw the snaps down to the existing floor where i knew they would be best put, then i used a piece of clear plastic sheeting, relatively thick stuff so it holds its shape, then use the snaps that go in the carpet to snap the sheeting in place over the floor snaps, then mark and cut out the sheeting as the shape of the carpet, bam theres your template, the snaps will leave a perfect outline in the sheeting as well so you know where to place them in the carpet as well, as for the carpet itself i have my upholsterer do that, and the most expensive part is getting it proffessionally bound, as he doesnt do that part. bounding is what keeps the edge of the carpet from coming apart.
