Lake rentals in n.c.

Can anyone provide information on lake house rentals in North Carolina. Planning a family trip for the spring and need a nice house.

Thanks HS - that site is awesome. I just found the (Texas Gulf Coast fishing) unit my (deceased) grandparents used to rent in the mid 80s and I'd go there to help with all the work (aka fun). Once they got to old to operate a boat...they'd pay for the place for two weekends and the week in between and invite my dad and I down with his boat to guide them and rotating visitors around. They were very generous and a helluva lot of fun. On the second day, we'd all travel down to Mexico and bring one bottle back per person to make the party more affordable. That, of course, when it was a bit safer.

I've always thought about renting the place when my kids got a little older. Sure enough...it is on the site.

I was going to post a link to it....but now I'm thinking that could reduce the chance it is available on the weekend I need it

We stayed on Lake Norman last June at this place. http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p253678 We had 16 people total (5 kids) and had a blast. The house is large enough that everyone had enough space and the dock is way back in a cove so the kiddos could swim and the water was calm.
