curious.... why does the cover not cover the transom?

I think it has something to do with getting the hooks to tension the cover a bit better.

for behind the windshield, how does the cover "tent up" without a pole back there?

also what is teh price range of these?

There are clips that attach to the rubrail, straps at the back of the boat, and a drawstring around the rubrail. That's all this cover needs. The way the clips pull the cover tight makes it sit in the right position so that there is no way water can pool. It is awesome!

Since you guys seemed to have recently purchased a cover, I'll ask here. How did you all make your payment? Did you mail him a check, or did you drop the check off at a US Bank location? I am speaking to Brent now and he has instructed me to perform the latter of the two. I know that he and his company have had great reviews but I'm a little hesitant to drop off a decent sized check to some bank.

I also ran in to another predicament - there are no US Bank locations near me, or even in FL as far as I know...

Brent is an interesting person to deal with, but I have not heard of anyone ever having any issues with him. I am sure mailing the check would be fine. He might just be trying to skip the chance that the check might get lost in the mail, or to speed up the transaction by having the check deposited directly. Not sure what he's thinking here, but like I said, I have never heard of any issues in dealing with him.

Hi 64Merc: How did Brent know where to cut the cover so your tower would fit? I have a '95 Sport nautique with an aftermarket tower. Did you do measurements for him? Also, how does it fit snug around the tower? velro? buttons?Thanks, Todd tfedorovich@wlgore.com

I may have been one of the earlier members of this forum to get a coversports cover. Especially back then, with not a lot of reviews available (at least on this site), the thought of mailing the check was disconcerting. But that's what I did and it worked out just fine. I had a confirmatory letter I sent along with it with a description of my order, a copy of which I saved along with a copy of the check. Had my cover in about 3.5 weeks from the date he received my check. The wait may be longer now, but he is very good to deal with.

On mine, the part that goes around the tower legs fits tightly with an internal elastic strap. The outside is attached via a zipper. Here's a close-up.

Thanks Jeff. Looks great. How did he know where to do the tower cut outs? Did you measure from the bow and take additional measurements for him to get an exact fit?

He had the pattern for my boat. He might for yours too, but if you have an aftermarket tower, you might have to take measurements.

He'll call you back with 48 hours, usually. My cover took 4 weeks, but he had to wait on his strap vendor to ship material.

My cover is black too, and the boat doesn't seem to get any hotter than with the gray cover I used to have - and it looks much cooler!!
